How to Tell If You Have a Septic Emergency

A failing septic system goes from quiet to serious fast. The warning signs are easy to overlook until waste has nowhere left to go but back toward your home.

If your tank is overdue for service, the risk climbs every week you wait. Left alone, a backed-up system becomes a sanitary hazard that needs attention right away, not a call that sits until Monday.

Watch for these signs that your septic system may be backing up:

  • Water pooling on the ground near the drain field
  • Toilets flushing slowly or not at all
  • Drains running sluggishly throughout the house
  • A gurgling sound when you flush
  • Wet, soggy ground around the tank

We had an unusual situation, my dad was bed ridden, my mother was having issues with her health, we were having help in and out, nurses, caregivers, and our family there 24/7. There were problems with old plumbing in my parents home. Their pipes stopped up, leaking pipes, etc, etc, etc. Kyle spent extra time after normal work hours planning how to best do repairs while dealing with our family health issues, also the girls at the company worked with calling and reporting different issues as these guys worked steadily until all stopped up pipes, leaks were repaired. During this time our dad passed away. But these guys continued to work and were courteous in every way. God bless freedle plumbing and staff.
